We're partnering with a well-established East Bay organization seeking an Accounting & Purchasing Specialist to support both financial operations and procurement activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, working independently, and being a key contributor on a collaborative team.
* Process accounts payable and vendor payments
* Verify invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors
* Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records
* Support accounts receivable, invoicing, and account follow-up
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
* Maintain organized financial documentation
* Support 1099 preparation and compliance reporting
* Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP standards
* Coordinate purchasing for office, production, and operational supplies
* Create and manage purchase orders
* Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed
* Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries
* Research cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
* Resolve shipping, receiving, and order-related issues
? 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, procurement, or related experience
? Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
? Strong understanding of:
? Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
? ERP system experience is a plus
? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
? Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
? Strong communication and customer service skills
? Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
? Approximately 6-hour workday
? 100% on-site in Livermore
? Approximately 30 hours per week
